Time Traveling
Webb will Spin the Next Spider-Man (See That, See What I Did There?)

Well guys it appears we have the next director of the rebooted Spider-Man saga. For those that want to know what has he done. Well he has done quite a couple of music videos. Don’t shudder yet he has directed a movie… 500 Days of Summer (and if the commercials for that movie offer any indication there was music and singing in that movie so not exactly a good sign to end the forgettable “dancing” from Spider-Man 3). So what are the pluses of this? Well he seems to have what it takes to make it a personal story to focus more on Peter Parker since he will just be a high school kid in this reboot. And umm what else… His last name is Webb and directly relates to the character… Take that Sam Raimi. So what does everyone think, Funk or Junk
90′s Movie of The Week
Torque here – The movie responsible for the Bubba Gump Shrimp chain. Atleast that is what Phil fondly remembers this film for. For real though who doesn’t smile just thinking about how one “Normal Everday Guy” can apparently be involved in every major event in the history of the world… Whether it’s the Vietnam War or the invention of the smiley face t-shirt (though I still associate the yellow smiley face with Watchmen but hey that’s just me). The point is it’s a modern classic (even if it was overrated and stole some awards from more deserving movies of the year, I’m looking at you Shawshank Redemption) Click on poster to see trailer well then… Funk or Junk?
A-Team Trailer.
Staff Picks
Daybreakers. The follow up film from Peter and Michael Spierig the creators if the indie hit Undead. There’s potential in this film and William Defoe should be fun to watch no matter what her does. Best of luck to the film hope its as good as the trailer presents it to be. What say you, Funk or Junk?
Youth In Revolt. We don’t know what it was but when the alter ego of Michael Cera finishes his cereal and just flips the bowl over we lost it here at MovieFunk. Hopefully not all the funny parts were in the trailer. This was a book? We haven’t heard of it. Funk or Junk?
Thats it for this week. Like we said slow week. We’re thinking of adding DVD and Blu Ray releases to Staff Picks. We’ll keep you posted. Hook’em Horns!
I’M TELLING YOU ITS KEYSER SOZE!!! 90′s Movie of The Week
This movie is a gem. Smooth moving plot, great acting and a twist that’ll leave your nipples hurting. Most of Im’ sure have seen this. For those who haven’t. Get on it ASAP. There isn’t much we can reveal since we do not want to spoil it for the poor saps who haven’t seen it.
“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled as convincing the word he didn’t exist”

The Deathly Hallows. To posses them all is to make one self immortal. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow teaser trailer
John Carpenter’s The Thing prequel treatment about to get underway.
Listen up Battlestar Galactica fans ( TV version ) because the guy behind the coolness of it, Ronald D. Moore is writing the script. Pretty spiffy if you ask us, which we know you won’t. Here’s a cool little scene from the first one.
Your mind is the scene of the crime. Inception trailer 2.
No, absolutely NO idea what this is about. Telepaths? Something like the Matrix? A CITY FOLDING IN HALF? Joseph Gordon-Levitt saying ” We need to get out of here. Give him a kick”. Ellen Page screaming ”wake me up”. This was the worst part of our vacation, not being able to share this a.s.a.p.
Amber is guessing that Leo’s character can somehow read minds or alter reality and is hired to get into the head of someone to steal and idea like the trailer quotes. Honestly we still have no idea what this is about. But we’re in and we imagine you guy are also. Funk or Junk?
